Riding on the grass

This week Tina from Waterford on her warmblood gelding Nicco had her lesson with me in the grass. Riding in the grass is a great way to prepare both horse and rider for riding in a larger field. Nicco enjoys working on his lateral work and extensions in the grass! If you can find a slight incline up it can help strengthen your horses hind quarters while you work, and it helps them elevate the front end and sit naturally, while letting the incline do some of the work for you! Let me know if you try this and how it works for you and your horse?
