Day 4: Organize, Then Relax

Here are two tips from her electronic book 100 Days, 100 Ways to a Happier, Healthier Life. First, organize your space?perhaps your tack room, trailer dressing room or equine library. Once you’ve completed that, soothe your tired muscles in a bath of Epsom salts (a staple product of all equestrians).

Organize your space.
Clutter messes with your Qi (chi, energy). An organized space allows your thoughts and energy to flow. Don’t you always feel better when your office, kitchen or bedroom is clean and organized? It’s because your energy is able to flow more easily. Take some time today to clean and organize your space. Choose one area and clean it thoroughly and completely. After that, if you’re on a roll?keep going! Notice how great it feels just to sit quietly in an organized space. Pick up a book on Feng Shui at the library to learn more.

Bathe in Epsom salts.
A bath with Epsom salts and some lavender oil will relax you?body, mind and spirit. The magnesium you will absorb through your skin (from the Epsom salts) has a relaxing effect and can help with digestion. Treat yourself to this inexpensive luxury and then snuggle in between the sheets.
