Solutions: Maintain Balance During Trot, Canter Lengthenings

Use this visualization technique from Bruno Greber to maintain upward lift in your body during trot and canter lengthenings.

To help maintain your balance and keep your body from tipping forward or backward during trot or canter lengthenings …

Imagine a plexiglass wall extending up vertically from your horse’s withers. To initiate your lengthening, inhale through your nose, feel the upward lift in your body and try to keep your nose from touching that imaginary barrier.
