VIDEO: How to Structure Your Dressage Horse’s Warm-Up with David Marcus

How a structured, systematic approach to warm-up is beneficial

This week we bring you a new training series from Canadian Olympian David Marcus of Marcus Fyffe Dressage. In this session, David discusses why he prefers a very structured, systematic approach to his riding that begins with the warm-up.

In each warm-up ride, from green to Grand Prix, David looks to do these three things:

1. Check and train his horse’s reactions to his seat, leg and rein.

2. Check and train his ability to regulate the length of his horse’s stride, and

3. Check and train his ability to control the horse’s overall shape.

We hope you enjoy this video series! Click here to watch it!
