In this episode of the Dressage Today Podcast, Stephany and Aviva interview USDF bronze, silver and gold medalist Noel Williams of Noel Williams Dressage in Annapolis, Maryland.

The daughter of George and Roberta Williams, Noel grew up surrounded by classical high-performance dressage and after riding and competing most of her life, she has Olympic dreams at heart. Noel has trained and competed with a number of horses from the lower levels to Grand Prix; she is a USEF “R” dressage judge and is currently in the USEF “r” DSHB Judge’s Program. A member of the 2007 NAJYRC silver medal team (Region 2) and the 2005 USEF Junior Dressage Team Championships gold medal, Noel was also the 2005 USEF Junior Dressage National Champion aboard Hanoverian stallion Pik L.

Noel’s greatest passion is starting and developing young horses in the sport of dressage, especially stallions, and campaigning them through the CDI levels. Stephany and Aviva talk to the rising dressage star about her aspirations to continue her career on the international stage and represent Team USA in competition. They enjoyed her super sense of humor, learning more about her riding history and belief system and her boundless enthusiasm for our sport.

Stephany and Aviva also catch up on what’s been going on in their personal and dressage lives. Stephany has updates about Mary Wanless, Maui and an exciting upcoming trip (or going down the centerline!), and Aviva shares some bittersweet news. And in this podcast’s “Ask the L” segment, our insightful podcast hosts answer a great question from Deanna about what’s required to successfully move from Training to First Level.
