On this week’s Training Buzz, we give you a glimpse inside the 2023 Adequan/USDF FEI-Level Trainers Conference. After a two-year absence due to the pandemic, over 300 enthusiastic individuals descended upon Mary Anne McPhail’s High Meadow Farm in Loxahatchee, Florida, in January to gain wisdom and perspective from David Hunt, Henk van Bergen, Linda Zang and Lilo Fore.

The rider and horse combinations were all upper level as the intended purpose of the two-day conference was designed to educate FEI-level trainers and instructors in the classical system of dressage. Videos of the rides are available to watch on Dressage Today OnDemand.

This clip is of Henk van Bergen, a member of the FEI Judge Supervisory Panel, discussing shoulder-in. He works with Cindi Wylie, a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist, a USEF ‘S’ Judge and a USDF Certified Instructor.
