US Equestrian Announces Substitution of Alternate Horse for The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team

Steffen Peters will now compete Four Winds Farm's Suppenkasper at the FEI World Equestrian Games™ (WEG) Tryon 2018.

Lexington, Ky. – US Equestrian announced today that The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team will substitute Steffen Peters’ alternate horse, Suppenkasper, Four Winds Farm’s 10-year-old KWPN gelding, for competition at the FEI World Equestrian Games™ (WEG) Tryon 2018. Peters (San Diego, Calif.) was named originally to the U.S team with Rosamunde, Four Winds Farm’s 11-year-old Rheinlander mare.

“Both Rosamunde and Suppenkasper traveled from the West coast by plane and truck to arrive here at the WEG,” said U.S. Dressage Technical Advisor and Chef d’Equipe Robert Dover. “With the travel, and adapting to the local climate, Rosamunde was slightly dehydrated upon arrival. This caused a disruption in her training schedule. She has recovered well but with the best interest of the mare in mind, and with how wonderful Suppenkasper has been training; the decision was made to make the substitution. We are excited to see this new, up-and-coming horse perform on the world stage.”

Watch The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team compete beginning Wednesday, September 12.
