Jen Mellace: Day 6

Today, Jenny Rolfe gives us a wonderful in-hand exercise to follow–the small circle left. My horse Woodrow is a rather large fellow and believes himself to be a big dog. A big golden retriever is my guess. I swear he’d climb in my lap if he could. This exercise was great because not only did it make him think, use himself and focus on me in a workmanlike-fashion, but the breathing technique and body language Jenny spoke of allowed me to reclaim some of my personal space. This is an exercise I’m happy to add to my tool box.
