Proper Rider Position for Lateral Work

Top international Grand Prix dressage competitor and trainer Shannon Dueck explains the proper rider position to best help your horse.

The last portion of this three part video focuses on suppleness and collection in the canter work. There is a difference between “round” and “low.” The horse can be round and also uphill. They add haunches-in on the 20-meter circle to improve suppleness in collection. Shannon helps demonstrate the proper rider position to best help the horse.
