Heading Home

My trip to the Dominican Republic has earned a special place in my heart and I am sad to be leaving it today, even though I cannot wait to return to my animals and a familiar bed!

In all my travels, I always feel like the new place I have visited is a small part of home – the people and places I encounter becoming a little more familiar each time, so that returning in the future becomes even more exciting than the first trip.

I feel the same about Utah after my multiple trips for the USDF Instructor’s Certification and “L” Program. Part of what is keeping my spirits up about leaving Santo Domingo behind is that I am heading back to Utah and all of my new friends in just a few short weeks.

The “B” Session of the USDF “L” Program has been a long time coming and I cannot wait to get on to the second leg of the journey. I am sure all of my blog readers also cannot wait for some new material!

So goodbye warm weather and sunny skies… in just a few short weeks, I will be thinking about you when I am sitting in “chilly” Utah on another type of sand (ring footing).
