Today at the hound show that was held at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA I watched as kids of all ages showed hounds! It was so fun to watch how each child handled the hound that they were showing. Here is where showmanship begins. These kids are learning how to smile while sweating, pose while being pulled, how to watch out for others in the ring, and pretend that they wanted their hound to do that- no matter how embarrassing! These kids were a great reminder to have fun and enjoy yourself in the arena of life. Whatever it maybe you are trying to accomplish, never take it so seriously that you stop smiling or forget the true meaning of why you are doing something, that is the ART of showmanship!
